Cabbage korma - Cabbage kuruma
Ingredients
1 cup cabbage (finely chopped)
1 onion
2 green chillies
1tsp chilli powder
Salt
Oil
Coriander leaves (to garnish)
To grind
1tsp poppy seeds/kasa kasa
1tsp roasted gram/udacha kadalai
To temper
1 clove
1 cinnamon
1 bayleaf
Method
- In a wok heat oil and temper with the items given
- Fry onions till translucent. Slit green chillies and add to it. Add the chopped cabbage.
- Add chilli powder and salt. Add about ½ cup of water and cook well.
- Grind poppyseeds and roasted gram into a smooth paste by adding little of water.
- Once the cabbage cooks well add the smooth paste. Mix well. Bring to boil.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapathi
- To grind poppy seeds soak it in warm water for 15 minutes. This helps to grind it easily.
