Ingredients
2 cups of cooked rice
BeetRoot- 1
Tomatoes- 2
Green chillies- 1
1/2 tsp chilli powder (adjust to taste)
1/4 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
Salt
Coriander leaves
Coriander leaves
For Tempering
Mustard Seeds- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
Preparation time: 5mins
Cooking time: 10-20 mins
How to make it
- Pressure-cook Beetroots for 1- 2 whistles with sufficient water. Remove skin and finely chop it and Keep aside
- In a pan add oil and add items for tempering. Once the mustard seeds start spluttering add green chillies and tomatoes. Cook for 3 to 5 mins till tomatoes turns mushy.
- Add all the masala powder mentioned above and mix well. At this time add salt and adjust to taste. (No need to add water)
- Add the finely chopped Beetroots. Mix the beets with the masalas completely.
- Once the oil starts separating out add the cooked rice and mix well
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
